On hearing the name fairy stream you may think that this is just a little tourist trap and not worth the visit but you would be quite wrong. This aptly named stream is another wonder of nature. Tucked between beaches and fishing villages, this gurgling stream is surrounded by amazing limestone formations. You can deposit your shoes at the entrance or carry them along with you to explore this muddy stream. Make your way through colourful limestone formations, warm water, and bright green trees to reach a waterfall after about 35 mins of walking.
You will be asked to pay a small entrance fee and then you will be asked if you need a guide which you can kindly refuse, just start heading up the flow of the stream taking in the canyons and formations around you. Please try to keep off of the sand formations as they are very brittle and crumble easily. It’s a great walk but better in the morning or late afternoon otherwise it is just too hot.
